Ice Air’s Heat Pump CEU Draws Record Attendance

Ice Air All In On Heat Pumps CEUMore than 50 audience questions highlight strong industry interest in decentralized electrification for multifamily buildings.

Mount Vernon, NY —Ice Air, a leading provider of innovative HVAC solutions, announced record attendance for its October 21 CEU webinar, “All-in-One Heat Pumps: Decentralized Electrification for Multifamily Buildings.” The webinar brought together architects, engineers, developers, and other building industry professionals to explore how modern heat pump technology supports energy efficiency, building electrification, and occupant comfort in multifamily buildings.

Presented by Louis Pfundstein, Technical Applications Director at Ice Air, the webinar generated strong engagement, with attendees submitting more than 50 questions covering equipment performance, cold-climate operation, ventilation, installation requirements, energy efficiency, and other key considerations for all-in-one heat pump systems.

“The record attendance and the number of questions we received tell us something important about where the industry is heading,” said Tom Glass, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ice Air. “Architects, engineers and developers are looking closely at how they can achieve building electrification without sacrificing performance, comfort or design flexibility.”

During the webinar, Ice Air explored various all-in-one heat pump configurations and their applications across different building types. The presentation also highlighted how variable-speed compressor technology provides individualized heating and cooling without a central plant, reducing the need for centralized mechanical infrastructure.

The presentation examined cold-climate heating performance, including coefficient of performance (COP), heating capacity at different outdoor temperatures and the role of supplemental electric heat. Participants also learned how equipment capacity, physical footprint, ventilation requirements and acoustic performance influence HVAC selection for multifamily buildings.

Throughout the program, Ice Air connected these technical considerations to the practical challenges facing architects, engineers and developers, including limited mechanical space, evolving building codes, operating costs and the increasing emphasis on energy efficiency and decarbonization.

As part of Ice Air’s ongoing educational initiatives, the webinar offered AIA and ASPE continuing education credits to eligible participants. Ice Air remains committed to providing educational programs that help building professionals make informed HVAC decisions for new construction and retrofit projects.
