Project Description
The Eliza is a 14-story mixed-use building situated at 4790 Broadway in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. Developed through a collaborative effort among The Children’s Village, CLOTH, Ranger Properties, Housing Workshop, and supported by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the New York City Housing Development Corporation, and the New York Public Library (NYPL), the project delivers 174 affordable rental apartments. These units range from studios to three-bedroom layouts, providing much-needed housing options in a rapidly evolving community. The building also includes a public library spanning the first two floors, a preschool, and community spaces that serve the neighborhood’s diverse population.

Designed by Fogarty Finger in partnership with Andrew Berman Architect, The Eliza showcases a contemporary architectural approach highlighted by a light beige brick façade complemented by a recessed grid of floor-to-ceiling windows.
