Project Description
The 22-story, 299-unit Sunset Gordon Tower continues to sit vacant since an LA County Superior Court judge retroactively invalidated the project’s construction permits. The building comprises 299 apartments in addition to 38,000 square feet of office space, 7,700 square feet of ground-floor retail, and structured parking for 428 vehicles. Community activists have urged the City Council to use eminent domain to open the complex’s vacant units to homeless families and other attempts to reopen the building have also been made without success to date.
