Project Description
Casa Celina is a 16-story affordable senior housing development located at Sotomayor Houses in the Bronx. The joint venture development by Xenolith Partners, The Kretchmer Companies, ELH Mgmt. and JASA includes 205 apartments for low-income seniors with 30% of the units reserved for formerly homeless individuals. Designed for maximum sustainability and resiliency, the all-electric building incorporates Cold Climate Heat Pumps from Ice Air for heating and cooling and heat pump water heaters for electrically sourced domestic hot water. Total Development Cost is $113MM with an expected completion date of October 2023.
