Turning cold air into hot water sounds like magic, but Ice Air’s heat pump water chiller/heater technology actually relies 100+ year old refrigeration principles to turn cold air into hot water. Although refrigeration and cooling go hand-in-hand, the refrigeration circuit also includes a hot side opposite the cold side. Typically, cooling an inside space means heating up outside air – but to use refrigeration to heat something (like water), the cycle is reversed which cools the outside air while absorbing the environment’s energy.
