Record Attendance for Ice Air’s CEU Webinar on Heat Pump Systems and Decarbonization

Ice Air, a leading North American manufacturer of energy-efficient heat pumps and HVAC solutions, is proud to announce that its October 8 continuing education webinar—Simplifying Decarbonization: Single Packaged Heat Pumps—achieved record-setting attendance and audience engagement. Hundreds of architects, engineers, developers, and energy professionals from across the country joined the live session to explore the role of packaged heat pumps in advancing code compliance, electrification, and building decarbonization.

“We were thrilled by the turnout and the depth of questions we received throughout the event,” said Tom Glass, Director of Sales and Marketing at Ice Air. “The number of participants and their eagerness to dive into the technical side shows just how urgently professionals are looking for practical, scalable HVAC solutions that meet today’s energy and policy demands. There were several from outside the US as well, including Ireland, the UK, and Canada.”

Interactive, Educational, and Actionable

The one-hour AIA- and ASPE-accredited course offered a technical deep dive into:

  • Refrigerant cycle fundamentals and packaged system design
  • Strategies for selecting the right heat pump for various building types
  • Installation, airflow, and troubleshooting best practices
  • Code-compliance considerations, including LL97 and BABA readiness

Attendees were highly engaged during the live Q&A session.

“Our audience involvement was remarkable, evidenced by the majority of attendees staying for questions such as whether, for an existing multi-family building retrofit where tenants pay for cooling and the owner pays for heating, the units have the capacity for separate heating and cooling metering,” said Tamer Bou Matar, Ice Air’s Senior Sales Engineer and course presenter. “It was a terrific way to share knowledge with those eager to understand the advantages of this product.”

Expanding Access to High-Efficiency, Low-Carbon HVAC Solutions

Through strategic partnerships with organizations like NEEP, Urban Green Council, New York Passive House, and others, Ice Air is committed to expanding access to high-performance heat pump solutions, policy-aligned education, and U.S.- American-assembled products that deliver both comfort and compliance.

“The feedback was clear,” said Glass. “Professionals want HVAC solutions that are not only efficient, but fully aligned with where codes, incentives, and building performance targets are headed. Ice Air is here to help them get there.”
