MT. VERNON, NY – ICE AIR®, the developer and manufacturer of a wide variety of HVAC units, has introduced a full line of Water Source Heat Pumps (WSHP) designed for years of trouble-free operation and reliable performance in multi-housing, hotels/motels, dormitories, commercial buildings, apartments and other property types. The ICE AIR WSHP’s line includes units such as Vertical Stack (ideal for whisper-quiet cooling and heating in a tight footprint); Horizontal WSHP (which conserves floor space with an extremely low-profile design), the Vertical Closet WSHP (delivering a clean look to the room with great energy efficiency); and Console WSHP units for independent comfort cooling and heating within a room.
“Our equipment is designed to stand the rigors of new construction and retrofit,” says Ric Nadel, Chairman/Co-CEO for ICE AIR. “These are breakthrough products we’ve developed over the decades we’ve been in business.”
“We’re dedicated to maintaining superior performance,” adds Mo Siegel, ICE AIR’s President/Co-CEO. “On-time delivery and cost savings are built into every order.”
The WSHP units from ICE AIR meet all UL standards and conform to ASHRAE 90.1, local building codes and energy standards. All ICE AIR products are ETL-listed for safety in the U.S. and Canada.
WSHP units from ICE AIR can also be customized. For example, on one project in Boston – the retrofit of the century-old Terminal Storage Building, ICE AIR WSHP units were used with the water source heat pump casings shipped after the risers were fully pressure-tested, saving time and money for the owner. “We were also able to provide locks on all return air doors to prevent residents from accessing the units,” adds Nadel. “That was a specific request from the owner that ICE AIR was able to accommodate last minute.”
In fact, owner involvement is what makes ICE AIR unique, as evidenced by the numerous projects that have been customized working with specific requirements from owners, engineers and contractors. Peter Joselow, President of Joselow & Associates, LLC, an engineering firm in White Plains, NY, said, “I remember telling them to do a modification because of Code requirements coming up, and they did. They listen.”
