MOUNT VERNON, NY – Ice Air, a leading global provider of climate control solutions, has launched its RSXC-S Series single packaged vertical heat pumps featuring advanced cold climate technology. With the efficiency of a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system and the convenience of a packaged unit, the RSXC-S series delivers sophisticated technology in a sleek, compact cabinet that complements any space.
The RSXC-S provides heat using compressor only (no backup electric heat) down to -5°F with a theoretical lower limit of -25°F. The units are listed among the products best suited to electrify heating in cold climates by the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) and meet all NEEP cold climate air source heat pump (ccASHP) efficiency requirements.

Engineered to operate in heat pump mode during winter months without the need for electric heat, the eco-friendly RSXC-S Series reduce emissions and energy consumption. With heating capacities up to 12,600 BTU/hour and cooling capacities of up to 11,800 BTU/hour, the RSXC Series meet all UL standards and conform to ASHRAE 90.1.
