Ice Air's Water Source Heat Pump Product Line consists of three versatile series of units, designed for new construction, retrofit and replacement applications:
- Console Units
- Vertical Stack WSHPs
- Horizontal Units
All of our Water Source units are designed for easy, cost effective installation and provide many years of trouble free operation.
Ice Air's Water Source Heat Pump product line features:
- R-410A "green" refrigerant
- Easy to use Digital control interface
- High levels of energy efficiency
- Slide out removable chassis or evaporator section for easy maintenance
- High pressure safety switch
- Low pressure safety switch
Why choose a WSHP?
- They generally cost less to install than central built in systems such as chillers and fan coil units.
- They offer individual zone temperature control.
- Units have great design and installation flexibility.
- Additional units can be added in the future if desired.
The ease of installation and enhanced unit appearance makes WSHPs a natural choice for mechanical engineers, architects, developers, builders and mechanical/HVAC contractors.
We strive to offer as many options and the widest variety of units for our customers. We know every building is unique and we aim to fit each specific need. Whatever your heating or cooling needs; Ice Air is there. For more information just give us a call at 1 -877- ICE AIR -1.
Equipment Manufacture: Ice Air's WSHPs consist of a commercial grade Chassis, housed within either a heavy gauge casing, or a painted room enclosure, and an advanced, digital control package. The units are designed and manufactured to operate on standard 115 Volt or 208 / 230 Volt, single phase, 60 Hertz circuits. Optional 265 / 277 Volt 60 hertz or 220 Volt 50 Hertz units are available on special order.
Many options and accessories are incorporated into your full value project package, including various piping and control packages, designer front panels and various filter and drain pan configurations.
The Chassis: A cooling and heating assembly consisting of sealed refrigerant system evaporator section with PSC motor and coaxial heat exchanger sections, digital unit controls, (or optional wall mount controls).
The chassis evaporator section assures whisper-quiet comfort. The vertical and horizontal WSHPs employ an evaporator motor and blower wheel system, mounted on vibration isolators, eliminating noise and excess movement. For easy service and cleaning, it is mounted on a slide-out, easily-removable motor board. Blower wheels are a metal-inlet, forward curved centrifugal type, directly driven by a three-speed PSC motor with built-in automatic reset overload protector.
Condensate Drainage: Powder-coated, stamped metal drain pan with a large diameter condensate drain hose ensures full condensate drainage under all conditions. The design eliminates mold and bacteria build up that can compromise indoor air quality.
Refrigeration System: A sealed refrigerant system employs R410A "Green" refrigerant compressed by either a high efficiency rotary compressor or scroll compressor (for 2 ton units and up) and routed through a copper tube / aluminum fin evaporator and tube within a tube heat exchanger (condenser). The refrigerant flow is controlled by a metering device ensuring safe and consistent refrigerant flow across the full range of operating temperatures and pressures.
Freeze Protection: Ice Air WSHP units also have a dual freeze protection, to monitor ensure safe refrigerant pressures in cooling mode.
Aluminum Filter: A permanent washable aluminum mesh filter is supplied with each unit.
Warranty and Code Compliance: Your unit is guaranteed free of defects in both material and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery. We also offer an optional 2nd through 5th year compressor warranty as well as various warranty and service extension plans.
All Ice Air WSHP units are ETL listed for safety in the United States and Canada, and meet required building codes. All Ice Air units meet Federal Energy Efficiency requirements and are also tested in accordance with current ARI standards.
WSHP Unit Controls:
Ice Air WSHP units are controlled by a state-of-the-art electronic package. The control pad is entirely programmable and is a user friendly device that enables the user to program all his or her desired temperature settings and operational modes. A built in timer allows night set back programming for both convenience and energy conservation. A wide range of automatic or manual settings allows the user to select and maintain the perfect temperature in both the heating and cooling modes.
